BELLE EPOQUE CARRIAGE CLOCK FOR TIFFANY & CO. French, No. 17579, retailed by Tiffany & Co. Made circa 1910. Very fine and rare, gilt-brass and enamel, 8-day going, hour and half-hour striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm.

Multi-piece ?belle époque? with reed bundle and fl ower pillars, oval glazed aperture in the top surrounded by a leaf and fl ower garland, hinged ribbon handle, the sides with panels of light blue translucent enamel over sunray engineturning with contrasting blue fl ower garlands, glazed back door, toupee feet. D. Gilt with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, enamel dial mask to match the case. Black pierced hands. M. Rectangular brass plates, going barrels for both trains, lateral lever escapement on a silvered platform, bimetallic compensation balance with temperature and meantime adjustment screws, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator, striking and repeating on a gong, separate alarm train with further hammer, white enamel alarm setting dial on the backplate. Dim. 15.3 x 8.6 x 7.7 cm. Excluding handle.
