Rectangular, gilt, profusely cast with vine leaves, fl owers and rocaille, the front corners mounted with two bacchantes, the sides set with painted Sevres-style porcelain panels of fl owers sprays on a white background, blue borders. D. Painted porcelain with radial Roman numerals, the center with two cherubs, blue surround with gilt fl oral decoration. Gilt spade hands. M. Circular gilt brass, going barrels for both trains, anchor escapement, outside countwheel striking on a bell. Movement signed Hersant Fres, case E. Moeunier. Dim. 28.5 x 17 x 15.5 cm.
