OVAL QUARTER REPEATING MINIATURE CARRIAGE CLOCK French. Made circa 1890. Fine and rare, miniature, oval, quarterrepeating, gilt brass, eight-day going carriage clock. Accompanied by the fitted travelling case.

C. Gilt bronze ?oval? engraved with fl owers and foliage, glazed top for viewing the escapement, glazed sides and back door, hinged handle, repeat button on the top. D. White enamel with blue radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and red fi veminute numerals, fl orally engraved matte dial mask. Blued steel spade hands. M. Brass rectangular with going barrel, matte silvered platform, lateral lever escapement, notched bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator, all-ornothing quarter repeating mechanism mounted between the dial and dial plate with two gongs. Dim. 76.5 x 62 x 52 mm. excluding the handle
