MONTRE DE BOITE Swiss, retailed by R. Linzeler, 9 Rue d? Argenson, Paris. Made circa 1910. Very fine, silver-gilt and enamel box with concealed keyless watch.
C. Three-body, silver-gilt, square with canted corners, each side and the hinged lid overlaid with translucent purple guilloche enamel with enamel white line borders, engine-turned base, cabochon set opening catch, the watch inside set within a matte silver gilt hinged frame. Gilt-metal cover over the movement. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel spade hands. M. 32 mm., rhodium plated, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed by the retailer. Dim. 43 x 43 x 25.5 mm.
