Courvoisier, Swiss, No. 5951, Swiss. Made circa 1850. Fine, 18K gold, painted on enamel and pearl-set lady?s pendant watch.

Four-body, ?bassine et fi lets?, scallop-edged the bezel pendant and bow engraved with foliage and scrolls, the back cover decorated with a painted on enamel scene of a young couple in national costume, a dog at their side, scroll border and black champlevé enamel outer border with seed pearl-set fl owers. Hinged gold and champlevé enamel cuvette with engine-turned border. D. Silver with black champlevé radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, the centre engraved with fl owers. Gold hands. M. 29???, gilt brass, Lepine calibre with going barrel, jeweled cylinder escapement, plain gilt three-arm balance, fl at balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed. Diam. 36 mm.
