Two-body, ?Empire?, hinged seed pearl-set bezel, the band decorated with engraved repeat pattern, the back with a fi nely painted Geneva enamel scene of a young couple seated in a garden within a shield-shaped gold paillon border, translucent royal blue enamel outer border over engine turning with white enamel and blue paillon fl ower and foliate decoration, pearl-set border. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions, winding aperture at 2 o'clock. Gold arrow hands. M. 39 mm., frosted gilt full plate with fl ared turned pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance, fl at balance spring, pierced and chased continental balance cock, polished steel endplate, silver regulator dial. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 48 mm.
