LONGINES-LINDBERGH ?HOUR ANGLE WATCH? Longines, "Lindbergh - Hour Angle Watch?, movement No. 54326271, case No. 24369852, Ref. 989. 5215, replica of the famous navigator's watch, invented by Col. Charles. A. Lindbergh and Longines in 1927, US Pat. 1923305. Made in 1987 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Lindbergh's first flight over the Atlantic Ocean, from New York to Paris, in 1927. Fine and rare, hour-angle, center seconds, self-winding, water resistant, stainless steel wristwatch.
C. Four-body, polished and brushed, hinged case back with inner dedication, revolving bi-directional ridged bezel with enameled 15 degree graduations, graduated case band, the ball-shaped crown for hand setting and also the revolving central dial, sapphire crystals. D. Annular white enamel with black enameled radial Roman numerals for the 12-hour indication, the 180-degrees in blue Arabic numerals, at the center, revolving matte silvered dial with black Arabic 60-minute markers and red Arabic 15-degree markers. Stainless steel black Breguet hands. M. Cal. L 990.1, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 25 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, selfcompensating fl at balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 38 mm. Thickness 10 mm.
