COURVOISIER - EXTRA FLAT Courvoisier Frères, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 17740, Swiss, circa 1830. Fine and rare, 18K. gold and enamel, extra flat pocket watch.

C. Four body, "demi-bassine", with reeded band, the bezels with chased fl oral decoration, the back engine turned and engraved with a scene depicting a lady and a child in a landscape, further engraved and black and white champleve enamelled decoration. Hinged gold cuvette with engineturned border. D. Silver, fl orally engraved, with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Gold Breguet hands. M. 18???, gilt brass, bar caliber, 8 jewels, gold wheel train, the going barrel with a female square, cylinder escapement with plain gilt brass three armed balance, index regulator. Cuvette signed.
