Two.body, Louis XVI, pearl-set bezel, the back set with a fi nely painted on enamel oval scene of a young couple in a landscape, the lady seated and the gentleman holding a laurel wreath above her head, turquoise border, pearl-set outer border to match the bezel. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and large Arabic fi ve-minuet numerals. Gold beetle and poker hands. M. 39 mm., matte gilt, full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, three-arm brass balance with fl at spring, pierced and engraved continental cock, index regulator with large engraved scale on the backplate. Diam. 47 mm.
