HERMÈS SHIP'S ANCHOR DESK CLOCK AND BAROMETER PAIR Hermès, Paris, the movement by Pontifa-Audoine. Made circa 1940. A pair of rare and attractive, giltbrass 8-day going clock and aneroid barometer set in the form of ship's anchors.
C. Cast brass anchor-form. D. Matte silver with black baton indexes and Arabic quarter-hour numerals. Blued steel baton hands. M. 50 mm, brushed nickel, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating fl at balance spring, index regulator. Both dials signed Hermes, movement signed Pontifa-Audoine. Dim. 16.5 x 11 cm.
