MAPPIN & WEBB SILVER & ENAMEL DESK CLOCK Swiss, No. 1907, retailed by Mappin & Webb (London). Made circa 1920. Fine, silver, enamel and ivory, 8-day going desk clock.
C. Oval with pierced silver framework inlaid with black and white champleve enamel concentric lines, ivory panel behind, brass back engraved ?Nice. 14 Janvier 1921?, hinged brass strut. D. Ivory with luminous Arabic numerals, outer minute track. Luminous skeleton hands. M. 42 mm, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Diam. 109 x 86 mm.
