Fine and unusual, gilt-brass, 8-day going desk clock in the form of a stylized armillary sphere, with triple date calendar, moon phases, manual world-time feature and alarm. Gilt-brass, brushed and polished, the clock pivoted on an axis with the world-time ring around the circumference engraved with the names of 30 world cities, outer rotating ring engraved with the 24-hour numerals for calculating the time difference, outer ring engraved with the signs of the Zodiac, circular base. D. Brushed silvered with applied gilt-brass radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary ring dials for the date, days of the week and the months, aperture for the moon phases. Gilt lozenge hands. M. Cal. 81, 53 mm., rhodium plated, 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating fl at balance spring. Dial signed Lancel, movement signed Imexel. Dim. 19 x 18 cm.
