HALF-SKELETONIZED QUARTER REPEATING WATCH Swiss, retailed by Chauvet, Horloger à Perpignan, case No. 3483/5481. Made circa 1820. Fine, large, 18K gold, quarter-repeating, half-skeletonized pocket watch.

C. Three-body, ?Empire?, engine-turned. Hinged and sprung gilt-rimmed glazed cuvette. D. White enamel, annular with Arabic hour numerals and outer minute track, center disclosing part of the repeating work. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Gilt brass, part-skeletonized, going barrel, cylinder escapement with steel escape wheel, plain steel three-arm brass balance with fl at balance spring, rack and pinion regulator, repeating on steel gongs with visible shaped hammers activated by depressing the pendant. Dial and cuvette edge signed. Diam. 58 mm.
