Barancourt à Paris, No. 900. Made circa 1790. Fine, 18K gold and enamel pocket watch.
C. Double body, Louis XVI, the bezel decorated with gold paillon leaves and fl owers on a royal blue translucent enamel ground within white enamel borders, concealed hinge, bezel release catch in the pendant, the back decorated with gold paillons in a geometric pattern of ovals on a royal blue translucent ground, border to match the bezel. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals and outer dot minute divisions, Arabic 15-minute numerals. Gold beetle and poker hands. M. 33 mm, hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, fl at balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel endpiece. Dial and movement signed. Diam. 43.5 mm.
