ENAMELED TURKISH MARKET WATCH - LOVE TROPHY Genève, No. 10700. Made for the Turkish market, circa 1830. Very fine and rare, 18K gold and painted on enamel pocket watch. Accompanied by a fitted wooden box.

Three-body, the back decorated with a fi ne painted on enamel fl ower trophy with a fl aming torch and quiver on a pink ground, outer light blue, white and green champleve enamel border with engraved gold foliate scrolls, the bezel, pendant and bow decorated to match. Fixed gold cuvette with apertures for winding and hand-setting. D. White enamel with Islamic numerals, outer minute track. Gold Breguet hands. M. 31 mm, matte gilt, full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, fl at balance spring, continental cock, silvered regulation dial. Dial and cuvette signed in Islamic text. Diam. 36.5 mm.
