LE PANIER Swiss. Probably Geneva. Made circa 1820. Fine and unusual, 18K gold and enamel, basket-form lady?s pendant watch.
C. Two-body, basket-form, the hinged bezel and body overlaid with translucent violet guilloche enamel, the base with a central gold paillon bird, hinged gold handle. D. Gold, engine-turned with Arabic numerals on circular polished reserves, outer minute track, winding aperture at 2. Blued steel lozenge hands. M. 22 mm., matte gilt, fusee and chain, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, continental cock, regulation dial. Diam. 30.5 mm.
