CHRONOSCOPE JUMP HOUR DESK CLOCK E. Gübelin, Lucerne, Robert Cart S.A., Le Locle, Swiss Patent No. 130191. Made circa 1935. Fine and rare, black and white onyx, lapis lazuli and enamel, eight day going, jump-hour, Chronoscope desk clock.
C. Circular white onyx with black onyx horizontal central section, lapis-lazuli ball feet on a black onyx rectangular base, matte blue enamel bezel. D. Frosted and silvered with outer Arabic minute ring and red glass triangular pointer and digital hour aperture below chapter "60", the centre engine-turned in a sunburst pattern. M. 24"', eight day going, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial and case signed E. Gübelin, dial with Robert Cart?s patent Number. Dim. 13 x 13.5 x 5.3 cm.
