SWISS HUNTING CASED DOUBLE DIAL POCKET WATCH WITH AGES OF THE PHASES OF THE MOON DAY AND DATE PINK GOLD Swiss, No. 16633. Made circa 1895. Very fine and rare 18K pink gold hunting cased double dial pocket watch with phases of the moon, lunar calendar, day and date.

C. Five-body, bassine, polished, hinged back cover opens to reveal glazed movement cover with white enamel outer chapter ring for date and day of the week display and corresponding baton and moon hands. The other opens to reveal the time and moon phases. D. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer fi ve minute divisions in Arabic, large aperture displaying phases of the moon and lunar calendar, subsidiary sunk seconds dial. Pink gold spade hands. M. 18''', nickel-fi nished, jeweled, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, visible gears to the calendar. Diam. 54 mm. Thickness 16 mm.
