ALTO QUARTER REPEATER CHRONOGRAPH PINK GOLD Alto Watch Co. Swiss, Quarter Repeater Chronograph, No. 26538. Made circa 1900. Fine and rare, large, hunting-cased, keyless, quarterrepeating, 18K pink gold pocket watch with chronograph.

C. Five-body, solid, polished, stepped case, engine-turned covers, front cover with central shields, hinged gold cuvette with Alto Watch inscription. D. White enamel with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost 1/5th seconds chronograph divisions with 5-second Arabic markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Gilt Louis XV hands. M. Cal. 20', nickel, fausses côtes decoration, 25 jewels, straightline lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, visible chronograph works, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 53 mm.
