ROB ROSKELL HUNTING CASED POCKET WATCH YELLOW GOLD Robert Roskell, Liverpool, No. 63309. Made circa 1820. Very fine and rare, hunting-cased, key-wound, 18K yellow gold pocket watch.
C. Five-body, bassine, solid, polished, fl uted band, front cover with medallion surrounded by engraved swirls. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary sunk seconds dial. Pink gold Fleur de Lis hands. M. Hinged, gilt brass, full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusée and chain, 13 jewels with 4 in screwed châtons, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel fl at balance spring, engraved balance bridge. Dial and movement signed, case hallmarked. Diam. 53 mm.
