J. HUGEUNIN & SONS HUNTING CASE INDEPENDENT & JUMPING SECOND POCKET WATCH YELLOW GOLD J. Huguenin & Sons, Locle, No. 13352. Made circa 1865. Fine, 18K yellow gold hunting-cased, key-wound, doubletrain, pocket watch with independent seconds and subsidiary jumping quarter-seconds dial.
C. Five-body, bassine et fi lets, engine-turned covers and band, faux winding crown for releasing the front cover, button for the center-seconds and 1/4 seconds. Gold hinged cuvette with engine-turned border. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, outermost 1/5th seconds divisions, subsidiary quarterseconds dial at 6. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 45 mm (20'''), nickel, fausses cotes decoration, 25 jewels, double train with two barrels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel fl at balance spring, index regulator. Movement signed, numbered on the case. Diam. 57 mm.
