Ageron ? Royal Blue Ageron a Paris, no. 228. made circa 1750. Very fine 20k Gold, Enamel and Diamond-set Pocket Watch.

C. Two-body, ?Louis XV?, casemaker?s initials JS, the back decorated with translucent royal blue guilloche enamel, central engraved motif highlighted in green enamel with white enamel `pearls`, outer white enamel `pearl` border and further border with royal blue champleve enamel stylized leaves, the bezel decorated to match, diamond-set thumb pieces. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions with large five-minute Arabic numerals, winding aperture at 2 o?clock. Diamond-set hands. M. 32 mm, hinged, frosted gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement with micrometric potence adjustment, brass balance with flat balance spring, continental cock, silvered regulation dial. Movement signed. Diam. 41 mm.
