Meuron Quarter-Repeating & Enamel on Gold Dial Meuron (Neuchatel), no. 27229. made circa 1810. Very fine and rare, quarter-repeating, 18K pink gold pocket watch with fine painted on enamel gold dial.
C. Three-body, ?Empire?, polished, reeded band, bol tat 11 for locking the repeating. Gilt metal cuvette hinged tot he movement ring. D. Engine-turned gold with Arabic numerals on circular white enamel reserves, blue champleve enamel flowerheads between, outer white enamel minute track, the center finely painted on enamel with a young lady seated at a pyramidal monument and holding a garland of flowers. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 47 mm, hinged, gilt full-plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement plain brass balance with flat balance-spring, continental cock. Dial, cuvette and movement signed. Diam. 54.5 mm.
