MOYNIER & FILS QUARTER-REPEATING & JUMP HOURS Moynier & Fils à Genève, No. 24961. Made circa 1830. Very fine, 18K gold and enamel, quarter-repeating pocket watch with jump hours.

Four-body, the case, pendant and bow entirely decorated with gold foliage and white champleve enamel flowers on a black champleve enamel ground, glazed apertures for the jump-hours and minutes dial in the front cover. Hinged gold cuvette. D. Silver, engine-turned, minute divisions on a brushed chapter ring. Gold minute hand. M. 39 mm., matte gilt, jewelled cylinder escapement with plain three-arm balance, flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Cuvette signed. DIAM. 46 mm.
