ROBERT & COMP. QUARTER-REPEATER Robert & Comp. Made circa 1820. Fine, large, quarter-repeating, silver-gilt pocket watch with painted on enamel dial.
C. Three-body, bassine, polished bezel, reeded band, the back engraved with flowers and foliate scrolls. Hinged and sprung gilt-metal cuvette hinged tot he movement ring. D. Gold with Arabic numerals on white enamel lappet reserves, outer engraved minute track, the center enamelled with a scene of a shepherdess in a landscape. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Matte gilt full plate, fusee and chain, verge escapement, threearm brass balance with flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental cock, silvered regulation dial, repeating on gongs activated by depressing the pendant. Cuvette signed. DIAM. 54 mm.
