GOLD & ENAMEL QUARTER REPEATING WATCH Swiss, No. 112. Made circa 1790. Very fine, quarter-repeating, 18K gold and enamel pocket watch.
C. Double body, engraved band with pierced sound holes, the back overlaid with royal blue translucent guilloche enamel over sunray engine-turning, central varicolored gold paillon rosette and outer border, the bezel decorated to match. D. White enamel with Arabic numerals, outer dot minute divisions and Arabic 15-minute numerals, winding aperture at 2. Gold arrow hands. M. Hinged, full plate, matte gilt, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, flat balance spring, pierced and engraved continental cock with polished steel endplate, rack and pinion regulator with silvered dial, repeating on a bell in the back oft he case activated by depressing the pendant. Movement numbered. DIAM. 49 mm.
