MATTHEY-DORET ? WATCH WITH FIVE COMPLICATIONS Paul Matthey-Doret, Locle, ?La Maisonnette?, No. 51467. Made circa 1880. Very fine and rare, large, minute-repeating, 18K gold, hunting cased, keyless pocket watch with triple-date calendar and moon phases.

C. Four-body, ?bassine et filets?, entirely foliate engraved, the front cover with central engraved monogram. Hinged gold cuvette, glazed gold-rimmed cover to view the movement. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with Arabic five-minuet numerals, subsidiary dials for week days, date and seconds, apertures fort he months and moon-phases. Gold and blued-steel hands. M. 20??, rhodium plated, 29 jewels, wolf?s tooth winding, part in screwed settings, counterpoised straight -line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, Breguet balance spring with overcoil, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Case, cuvette and movement signed, dial signed ?La Maisonnette?. DIAM. 57.5 mm.
