SINGING BIRD BOX German. Made circa 1960. Attractive, gilt-metal and lacquered singing bird box

C. Two-body, rectangular with canted corners set with faux-lapis, royal blue side panels, the front and back with printed pastoral vignettes, white top with four flowers, the bird cover printed with a romantic pastoral scene, turned feet, winding key on the base. M. Rectangular, going barrel and rectangular bellows, the revolving bird with moving wings, tail and beak, controlled by two cams mounted beneath the barrel wheel, pierced gilt brass grille. DIM. 4.9 x 4.8 x 11.8 cm.
