Notes

The WWW version was used by the British Forces during WWII. The Royal Air Force chose the model with white dial and auxiliary or center-seconds. Inside and outside the case back: the letters WWW, the "broad arrow" and the numbers. The "broad arrow" means that the watch was the property of the British government, and the WWW , in use from 1943 to 1958, stands for "Waterproof Wrist Watch".Similar watches are published in "Militari da Polso", by L. Canetoli and F. Ferretti, Studio Zeta Editore, pp. 43 to 47.
