Notes

It is very rare to find such an elegant Lange Söhne watch with two-tone case. The case was especially ordered from Vuillomet & Cie, and the watch was possibly destined for an international exhibition, particularly in view of the fact that the movement is engraved "Germany", an engraving almost never found in Lange's watches. For a note on the Anibal (acier au nickel pour balanciers), see lot 271.
