Unsigned, Swiss, circa 1935.Fine and unusual silver, enamel and lacquer concealed Art Deco purse watch designed to be also a desk clock.
C. Four-body, rectangular with curved ends, both covers with predominately dark blue enamel, rounded corner portions with a polychrome cloisonné enamel floral pattern, front cover hinged to reveal the watch housed in the two-body hinged case, which when tilted forms a desk clock. D. Silvered, matte, engine-turned in a geometrical pattern, Arabic numerals, outer minute divisions. Blued steel "cathedral" hands. M. Tonneau,16 x 25 mm., rhodium-plated, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, uncut bimetallic balance, flat balance spring.Dim. 52 x 27 mm.
