Notes

The company was founded in 1813 by Théodore Leroy, who settled in the Palais Royal quarter in Paris and was appointed "Horloger du Roi" in 1835. After changing hands several times, the company continued until 1960, at which time it ceased to exist after losing a 25-year old legal battle with L. Leroy & Cie, a separate company also located in the Palais Royal quarter.
