The Horse RaceAttributed to Longines, St-Imier, No. 1307054, made for the Indian market, circa 1902.Very fine 18K gold and painted on enamel diamond-set keyless pocket watch.

Four-body, "bassine", back finely painted on enamel with a horse race scene, frame and borders elaborately set with diamonds to form scrolling, horse-shoe and flowers, the whole on a translucent dark blue enamel background, band and bezel en suite, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, upright Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary sunk seconds. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 40.6 mm. (18'''), rhodium-plated, 21 jewels, adjusted, safety pinion, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallc compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, special patented micrometric regulator.Diam. 51 mm.
