American Waltham Watch Co., No. 10462669, Model 1883, Grade No. 18, circa 1901.Very fine and rare, yellow gold-filled, hunting-cased, keyless watch with an elaborate O'Hara dial.
C. Four-body, "bassine" triple-hinged, back engraved with a village church with stylized floral decoration on engine turned reserve, front in the same pattern, blank initial shield instead of church, hinged cuvette. D. Light yellow and light blue enamel, gold fancy paillon radial Arabic numerals with black shadow giving impression of a relief, gilt cartouches around each numeral, silver paillon maple leaf half-hours, gold paillon outer minute ring with sapphire-paste 5-mi-nute markers, gold andilver paillon rosette in the center, recessed sub-seconds with silver and gold paillon rosette. M. 18 size, nickel, full plate with elaborate damascening, lateral counterpoised lever es-capement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring, safety pinion, lever-set with Church dis-engaged intermediate wheel patented (No. 295484) system. Signed on dial and movement. Diam. 55 mm.
