American Waltham Watch Co., No. 10768218, Model 1883, Grade No. 820, circa 1901.Fine and rare, almost mint-condition, 14K gold, engraved hun-ting-case, box-hinged, keyless watch with an unusual dial.
C. Four-body, drum-type, by "B.W.C. Co.", covers entirely decorated with foliate decoration around a heart, vermicelli band, gold hinged cuvette. D. Off-white and rose enamel with painted radial Arabic numerals within gold paillon cartouches, outer minute ring with 5-minute emerald-paste markers on a rose reserve, inner concentric gold paillon leaf ornamentation with emerald-pastes on pink re-serve, recessed sub-seconds with gold paillon rosette. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 18 size, nickel, full pate, elaborately damascened, 15 jewels, the top ones in screwed settings, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, index regulator, safety pinion.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 55 mm.
