American Waltham Watch Co., No. 3489258, Model 1883, Grade No. 25, made between February and October of 1888.Fine, yellow gold-filled, keyless watch with an unusual dial.
C. Three-body, "bassine" by "Philadelphia Watch Case Co.", screwed bezel and back, back decorated with floral and foliate pattern, centered by a blank crest, engine-turned bezel. D. Off-white and rose enamel with painted radial Arabic numerals in pink cartouches with gold paillon frames, outer minute ring with gold dot markers, center with gold paillon decoration of stars, half-moons and emerald-pastes, recessed sub-seconds with gold paillon ornaments. Blued steel "Spade" hands. M. 18 size, nickl, full plate, matted and damascened, 15 jewels, the top ones in screwed settings, lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, adjusted, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, Church type I patented (No. 312,253) micrometric regulator, safety pinion. Signed on the dial, case and movement.Diam. 54 mm.
