A Stag in MarshesAmerican Waltham Watch Co., No. 6773652, Model 1890, "Sea-side" Grade, circa 1892.Fine and rare, 14K multicolored gold and enamel, diamond-and ruby-set, hunting-cased, keyless pendant watch with an unusual dial.

Four-body, "bassine", triple-hinged, back with applied green gold stag within alternating diamond and ruby-set frame, border with applied floral and vermicelli pattern, front centered with enameled initials "LT" and lavishly decorated with applied multicolored floral pattern, vermicelli border, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, radial Arabic numerals, gold paillon leaves for half-hours, outer minute track with sapphire-paste five-minute markers, recessed sub-seconds. Gold "Louis XV" handsM. 6 size, frosted gilt, 3/4 split plate elaborately damascened, 11 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring. Signed on dial and movement.Diam. 40 mm.
