The ButterfliesWaltham, Mass., No. 5472698, Model 1891, "A.W. Co." Grade, made in the first half of 1893.Very fine, 14K gold, keyless pendant watch with an unusual dial and gold chain.

C. Four-body, "bassine" unusually decorated with gold beads in relief, "sunburst" engine turning in the center, vermicelli borders and band, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, Arabic numerals, center painted with two color butterflies set with ruby-pastes flying over a flower stem, recessed sub-seconds. Blued steel "Spade" hands. M. 0 size, nickel, 3/4 split plate elaborately damascened, 13 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet baance spring.Signed on dial and movement.Diam. 34 mm.
