Oil WellWaltham, Mass, No. 3923131, model 1883, "P.S. Bartlett" Grade, made between April and July 1889.Extremely fine and rare, 14K multicolored gold, hunting-cased, keyless watch in very rare "Oil Well" case and with a fancy O'Hara's dial.
C. Four-body, by Roy, full box-hinged, "bassine" by Roy, No. 205091, back decorated with applied red gold oil well, operators and crude oil containers below, country landscape engraved in the background, green and yellow gold applied flowers on the sides, hand engraved vermicelli scrolling on the edges extending to the band and front cover decorated in the same pattern with an initial crest in the center, gold hinged cuvette. D. White enamel, overglazed, gold radial fancy paillon Arabic numeralsover black silhouettes creating effect of a shadow, each on purple circle, paillons flowers between the numerals, paillons outer minute track with "emeralds" five-minutes, center with elaborate geometrical pattern of gold paillons, recessed sunk sub-seconds also decorated with gold paillons. Gold "Louis XV" hands. M. 18 size, nickel, full plate, matted and damascened in wavy pattern, 15 jewels, lateral lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring,Church type I patented (No. 312,253) micrometric regulator, safety pinion, lever-set.Signed on dial and movement. Diam. 54 mm.
