C. Four-body, "bassine et filets" by "E.H. & Co.", No. 1278, engine turned, knurled band, hinged cuvette entirely engine turned in variety of patterns and with apertures for winding and setting.D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minute ring, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "American Spade" hands with polished heads. M. N size (42.5 mm), gilt, split full plate, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balance spring, engraved balance cock.Signed on dial and movement, movement engraved "Reed's Patent, Nov. 24.1857."Diam. 53.8 mm.
