C. Three-piece, "bassine" by "Keystone" using J. Boss patent, polished, screwed back and bezel, engine turned back with variety of patterns. D. Double-sunk white enamel with Arabic numerals in center, outer double minute ring, one with odd, the other with even minutes, subsidiary seconds. "Double Swell Spade" blued steel hands. M. 18 size, nickel, full plate, damascened, 21 jewels, the top ones in screwed gold settings, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with golscrews adjusted to 5 positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, Ohlson's patented micrometric regulator, lever-set. Signed on dial, case and move-ment, dial engraved "Pat. Appl'd For".Diam. 53 mm.

This design was patented by Ezra C. Fitch of Manchester, Mass on March 26, 1901. Twenty years later, Montgomery introduced a similar idea, but with the minutes on the same ring (see the patent pages at the end of this catalogue).
