Notes

The dial of this watch features a very rare combination of B. N. Bliss's design, found mostly on Waltham watches, and Henry S. Montgomery's design fitted on one of Elgin's best grades. The Bliss patent (No. 53110) was designed to enable railroad personnel to read quickly at nightime, while Montgomery's patent (No. 54950) was made to enable easy and quick reading to the nearest minute. For a patent, see at the back of the catalogue.
