Montgomery Santa FeIllinois Watch Co., Springfield, Illinois, No. 4850420, 11th Model with lever-setting, "Bunn Special", circa 1926.Very fine, two-tone gold-filled, 60-hour Santa Fe Railroad watch with a Montgomery dial.
C. Three-piece, by "Keystone" using J. Boss patent, screw bezel and back decorated with repeated pattern on engine turned background. D. White enamel with painted bold Arabic numerals, outer Montgomery ring, sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "Double Swell Spade" hands. M. 16 size, nickel, 3/4 split plate, lever-set, damascened, 21 jewels in screwed raised gold settings, straight line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with gold screws adjusted to temperature and 6 positionsblued steel Breguet balance spring, Reed's patented whiplash micrometric regulator, motor barrel, double roller, lever-set.Signed on dial, case and movement, case also signed "Bunn Special".Diam. 51 mm.
