C .two-body formed as a human skull, top engraved with inscriptions "Incerta Mortis hora', "Caduca despice ceterna respice", "dum viuis viue vt viuas", "vita fugit vt hora", front engraved with sand clock, top with small ring loop, hinged jaw covering the dial. D. silver, Roman numerals, half-hours marked by fleur-de-lys, center florally engraved. Blued steel single hand. M. 25 mm, gilt brass, full plate, baluster pillars, fusee and chain, short three-wheel train, verge escapement, iron circulafoliot, small gilt pierced and engraved cock, ratchet wheel and clock mainspring set-up.Signed on the movement.Dim. 41 x 37 mm.
