Girard-Perregaux, "ww.tc World Time Chronograph", Ref. 4980. Produced circa 2000.Very fine, large, two-time zone, self-winding, water-resistant, 18K white gold gentleman's wristwatch with square button chronograph, registers, date and an 18K white gold Girard-Perregaux buckle.
C .three-body, solid, polished, transparent case back with screws, rounded bezel, concave lugs, sapphire crystal. D. off-white with applied white gold Arabic numerals and tritium-coated dot indexes, auxiliary dials for the seconds, the 12 hour and 30 minute registers, surrounded with a black and white revolving ring with contrasting painted Arabic numerals for the night/day hours, another outer revolving disc bears the names of 24 cities in the world , aperture for the date between 2 and 3. "Feille" tritium-coated steel hands, black arrow for the chronograph. The winding-crown on the 9 activates the city disc backwards or forwards, the one on the 3 is for time-setting and activates the night/day division disc clock- or counterwise. M. Cal. 3387, rhodium-plated, "fausses cotes" and "oeil-de-perdrix" decoration, 63 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring, 21K gold rotor.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 43 mm.
