Notes

Good condition, cleaned and varnished. This type of re-cutting engine, designed for quickly decreasing the diameter of a wheel, while retaining the module and the shape, with automatic entry into a new tooth, was invented by Louis Carpano from Cluses and patented on January 9, 1889. Direct-driven ones are rare.
