Square, front with large copper lap, material-holding jig, back with large bronze lap with holding jig and interesting indexing fixture for polishing at different angles, interesting wooden construction with different beams as supports for the lap spindles, and a mechanism for adjusting the spindles' pressure via a crank lever at the right back and front left corners.Dim. Height 97 cm., width 107 cm., depth 100 cm.

Good condition.It is very unusual to find a bench such as this one, which might have been used by a casemaker, and affords a rare opportunity to see how the beautiful polish of 19th century watches was achieved.
