Antoine Louis Breguet brought suit against Louis Moinet, accusing him of plagiarizing his father, Abraham-Louis Breguet, whom he had served as secretary. The judgement, rendered in 1825, was favorable to Breguet, but did not prevent Moinet from later publishing his notes.
