Recordon, late Emery, Cockspur Str., Charing Cross, London, No. 8932, case hallmarked 1806.Very fine, 18K gold quarter-hour dumb repeating watch with special escapement.
C. Three-body, "Empire", back cover and band engine-turned, polished bezel, pull-and-twist repeater activation piston in the pendant. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel "arrow" hands. M. 45.8 mm., gilt brass, full plate, cylindrical pillars, fusee and chain, ruby cylinder escapement with brass escape wheel, gold three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring with compensation curb, escapement jeweled and capped, small single-footed cocengraved with a mask, gilt brass dust-cap, repeating on two gold blocks by depressing pull-and-twist piston in the pendant.Signed on the dial and cuvette.Diam. 55 mm.
