Louis Audemars, Genève, No. 12235 made for Tiffany & Co., New York, in 1875.Very fine and rare astronomical perpetual calendar watch with moon phases and five-minute repeating.
C. Four-body, "bassine et filets", polished, gold hinged cuvette over gold bezel glazed for viewing the movement. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute track with five-minute Arabic markers, four subsidiary sunk dials for days of the week, date, months of the leap year cycle and subsidiary seconds concentric with phases of the moon aperture and moon's age. M. 45 mm. (20'''), nickel, "fausses côtes" decoration, 31 jewels, straight line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic cmpensation balance with Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band. Signed on the movement by Tiffany, punched with Audemars trademark on the case, same number on the movement and the case. Diam. 54 mm.
